PGA Junior League Golf
The PGA Junior League Golf Program at The Ultimate Golf School is an excellent way for your young golfer to dial in their competitive spirit. They’re outdoors, staying active, and enjoying a great game with their friends. And instructor Barry Churchill, PGA is a Certified US Kids Golf Instructor.
Our 10 week PGA Jr League starts the last week in April and finishes in June. We meet one day per week at Stonebridge Golf Club. The first 4 sessions are practices to improve skills in order to perform on the course. We finish the program with on-course matches. These matches have two-person teams playing in a scramble format against another two-person team. Our PGA Jr League is a 13 year old and under league. Your Jr golfer must not turn 14 before August 1.
The PGA Junior League Golf program is recreational in nature but does have a skills prerequisite. Each player must be at or beyond Level 3/100 yards in our Operation 36 Program or Level 3 in our USKids Golf Summer Camps. Individual “Testing” is available if your player has not participated in either Op 36 or the Summer Camps.
We learn and work on all aspects of the game including the full swing, pitching, chipping, and putting. Each player learns basic golf course safety and etiquette which is discussed daily. And although our competitions at practice do not crown a victor, the kids want to win just the same. One of our goals is to have the kids play well on the course. Another goal is to instill traits of true champions by the way of sportsmanship, leadership, and respect for self and others.

The PGA Jr League Golf program at Stonebridge Golf Club is taught by PGA Certified Instructor, Barry Churchill. Barry was voted the 2017 New England PGA Section Teacher of the Year! He was also voted Teacher of The Year in the Vermont Chapter PGA in 2013 and 2016. Barry was voted as a 2019, 2020 and 2021 Top 50 US Kids Golf Instructor. And Barry was also a finalist for the 2019, 2020, and 2021 Carolina’s Section PGA “Youth Golf Leader” award. Most recently, Barry was a finalist in the 2022 Carolina’s Section PGA Teacher of The Year!
